Designing digital annual reports and marketing assets for a non-profit organization

Confluence Philanthropy’s mission is to transform the practice of investing by aligning capital with the communities values of sustainability, equity, and justice.

Working directly with the managing director, copywriters, and other stakeholders, I supported the team in creating digital annual reports and web assets.

Annual Reports

I’ve designed multiple annual reports for Confluence. Each one had a theme that explored contemporary issues whether it’d be climate change or racial equity in the workplace. With all the reports, I collaborated with program directors and presented ideas for themes and visuals (photos, layouts, iconography, colors). The most challenging yet exciting aspect of working on these was coming up with new ways to showcase text-heavy information (taken from a google doc) in interesting ways.

Pamphlet Cover Options

I presented several design options for the Racial Equity Pamphlet, ensuring they align with the corporate theme.

 

Web Banners

I created some banners for Confluence Philanthropy’s website and social media adhering to their style guide. For each of these, I presented several design iterations for them to choose from.

Outcome & Key Takeaways

• With annual impact reports, Confluence further deepened the connections that members have with value-driven investing through education and alignment.

• Mailchimp campaigns had an average of 78% clickrate per email sent out. Members were informed on important speaker events as well as meetups.

• As Confluence’s design consultant, it is a privilege to design for an organization with a strong mission to align capital towards many great causes. I’ve had the pleasure of working with many industry leaders and learning from them.
